Introduction

The Aga Khan University invites applications for the grant-funded contractual position of Data Collector in the Department of Medicine 

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:
  • Data collection on digital devices in the field setting.
  • Plan and schedule filed visits to assigned households.
  • Visit assigned households to conduct verbal autopsy interviews.
  • Maintain accurate records of all households and individuals interviewed.
  • Provide support to research staff in data management and filing process.
  • Any other task as assigned by the field supervisor
  • Maintain field activity log and report on weekly basis

Requirements

You should have:
  • Bachelor’s degree from recognized board/university.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience of conducting filed-based data collection in the health sector
  • Must be verse with digital data entry/collection devices (i.e. phones, tablets, computer).
  • Must be verse with digital data collection tools (i.e. ODK, RedCap, spread sheets, online forms).
  • Experience of dealing with different ethnic and social groups in a community setting.
  • Skills in accurate data entry/collection.
  • Understanding of public health environment and structure.
  • Willingness to work in community settings.
  • Understanding of field-work dynamics.
  • Demonstrate basic English writing and reading skills.
  • Strong communication skills in Urdu and regional languages.
